Code of Conduct
As there is currently no professional body or association of consultants involved in PDM, the “PDM consultancy market” is unregulated and consultants are not subject to any code of conduct. It is left to the organisation hiring a consultant to carry out due diligence to assess a consultant’s technical capabilities and personal traits.
To fulfill our mission statement “Professionalizing Public Debt Management”, we have adopted a set of guidelines which we voluntarily adhere to. These are:
- We treat clients as well as other individuals and organisations involved in PDM with respect and fairness and we will respect other people’s opinion;
- We will only take on assignment which we feel we are well qualified to undertake and always ensure that the client is satisfied with the output;
- We will not discuss details of an on-going or past projects with anyone or use them as case studies except with the written permission of the client;
- We will strictly adhere to intellectual property rights and provide adequate references for any public material used;
- We will not comment on the capability of other consultants unless it is part of an official assessment process;
- We will not use, share or circulate current or past consultancy reports without the written permission of the client; and
- We will treat all material provided to us during the course of a consultancy with utmost confidentiality.
